Hi, I'm Teresa.

As a certified breath therapist and somatic practitioner, I am deeply committed to supporting others in regulating their nervous system and reconnecting with the innate intelligence of the body. My own journey through these practices has shown me how powerful the body can be in shifting long-held patterns of anxiety, trauma and chronic stress.

Through years of study, practice, and hands-on experience, I’ve developed a compassionate approach to nervous system support. I integrate breathwork, gentle movement, and felt-sense awareness to support real shifts—not just in how you feel, but in how your system functions

My work is rooted in trauma-informed principles, empathy, and deep respect for each person’s unique pace and process. I believe the nervous system holds the key to sustainable transformation—not through force, but through safety, curiosity, and consistent attunement to the body’s cues.

I believe that the nervous system is the foundation of everything—our mood, focus, energy, relationships, even physical health. When we work with it, not against it, change becomes more than possible. It becomes embodied.

Remember, this journey isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping your body remember how to regulate itself, naturally and sustainably.

Love,

Teresa

How breathwork enhanced me as a competitive pro athlete

As a competitive pro athlete in natural bodybuilding, I have always been on the lookout for ways to improve my performance and gain an edge over the competition. While training, nutrition, and recovery were crucial aspects of my journey, one practice that truly transformed my athletic performance and overall well-being was breathwork.

Initially, I approached breathwork with skepticism, thinking it was just another trendy wellness fad. However, once I delved into the practice and experienced its profound effects, I became a firm believer in its power. Breathwork encompasses various techniques and exercises designed to optimize breathing patterns and enhance the body's oxygenation process.

One of the primary benefits of incorporating breathwork into my routine was its impact on my endurance and stamina. Through specific breathing exercises, I learned to control my breath during intense workouts, which helped me maintain peak performance for more extended periods. Deep diaphragmatic breathing became second nature during my lifts and allowed me to deliver optimal power and energy to each rep, ultimately leading to more significant gains in muscle mass and strength.

Moreover, breathwork played a crucial role in managing my pre-competition nerves and anxiety. The controlled breathing techniques acted as a natural stress-reliever, calming my mind and enabling me to stay focused during the intense moments leading up to a competition. This newfound mental clarity and composure were instrumental in showcasing my physique confidently on stage.

Additionally, breathwork significantly contributed to my recovery process. After grueling training sessions, I would dedicate time to various breathwork exercises, promoting relaxation and reducing muscle tension. The increased oxygen circulation aided in quicker muscle repair, reducing the risk of injuries and enabling me to return to training with rejuvenated vigor.

Beyond the physical benefits, breathwork also heightened my mind-body connection. As a natural bodybuilder, this connection is paramount, as it allows me to feel and understand how my body responds to different exercises and nutrition strategies. The heightened awareness from breathwork helped me fine-tune my workouts and tailor my nutrition to better suit my body's unique needs.

Incorporating breathwork into my daily routine also positively impacted my overall mental well-being. It helped me reduce stress and stay grounded amidst the demanding and sometimes overwhelming nature of competitive sports. This sense of balance and peace not only translated into better performance on stage but also positively influenced other areas of my life outside of bodybuilding.

How transformational breathwork stopped my panic attacks

A few years ago, I found myself struggling with panic attacks that seemed to affect my daily life. These overwhelming episodes left me feeling helpless and trapped, to the point thinking I would choke. I tried various traditional methods to cope with anxiety, but nothing seemed to provide lasting relief.

After already practicing functional and mindful breathwork, I decided to take the plunge for the incredible world of transformational breathwork. Intrigued by the potential it held, I decided to give it a chance, and it turned out to be a life-changing decision. Through specific techniques, I learned to  connect with my inner self, confront my fears, and embrace the healing process of trapped emotions.

The transformative effects of the trauma and somatic breathwork were astounding. With each session, I felt a growing sense of clarity, calmness, and resilience. Gradually, the frequency and intensity of my panic attacks began to diminish, and I discovered a newfound sense of empowerment over my emotions.

The beauty of transformational breathwork lies in its ability to unlock buried emotions, release tension, and rewire negative thought patterns. It allowed me to dive deep into the core of my being, facilitating healing on multiple levels—mental, emotional, and even physical.

Through this healing journey, I not only found relief from panic attacks but also experienced a profound personal transformation. It sparked a passion within me to share this life-changing practice with others who might be struggling on their own paths.

How nervous system regulation changed my life

While breathwork was my entry point, what truly expanded and deepened my journey was understanding the nervous system as a whole. I began exploring somatics, trauma-informed practices, and the science behind how the body stores and responds to stress. It was incredibly eye-opening to realize that so many of the symptoms I had dealt with — panic attacks, emotional outbursts, restlessness, hormonal imbalances and disordered eating — weren’t signs of weakness or something being "wrong" with me. They were intelligent responses from a nervous system that had been trying to protect me all along.

As I learned more about the autonomic nervous system — how it moves between states like fight, flight, freeze, and fawn — I began to recognize my own patterns in real time. The moments of pushing through, of shutting down, of feeling disconnected or hyper-alert — they all started to make sense through this lens. That awareness alone brought a huge sense of relief. But what truly changed my life was realizing that I wasn’t stuck there. These states were not permanent. They were adaptive responses, and they could shift.

Through somatics, I started to experience what true regulation felt like. Not just being calm, but being connected. Not just getting through the day, but feeling present, supported, and in touch with myself. Bit by bit, my system began to trust that it was safe enough to let go. I started to move through life with more clarity and ease.

Somatics gave me tools I didn’t even know I needed. Tools to create a felt sense of safety in my own body — a baseline I had forgotten about. It’s been the most profound transformation of my life. Not just in my mental and emotional well-being, but in how I relate to myself, others, and the world around me. Nervous system regulation gave me access to a deeper level of embodiment and wholeness that continues to shape everything I do today.
